Floatplane.com
is a streaming service.
Sadly, they currently do not offer RSS feeds for channel posts. This is where this project comes in
Important note: Livestreams don't get RSS'd, VODs do!
How do you do it?
I ask the Floatplane API in regular intervals for the latest posts.
That data gets cached so I don't hammer the API.
I also only fetch channel data for channels that have been requested at least once.
How can I use it?
Take the channel identifier from the channel url, e.g.
https://floatplane.com/channel/linustechtips => linustechtips
or https://www.floatplane.com/channel/GarbageTime => GarbageTime
etc.
Append that identifier to https://fss.mrchick.de/channel/, e.g.
https://fss.mrchick.de/channel/linustechntips
https://fss.mrchick.de/channel/GarbageTime
Use your preferred RSS Aggregator to subscribe to that url
Want to use the Floatplane Beta site? append ?beta
https://fss.mrchick.de/channel/linustechtips?beta
Are you affiliated with Floatplane?
No, this project is not affiliated in any way with Floatplane Media Inc.
This is just a tiny hobby project because I LOVE RSS and Floatplane currently doesn't offer feeds.
A message for Floatplane: should it not be OK for me to do what I do here, please contact me at floatss@mrchick.de - I'll still love you guys!
